Well I placed another advert on Craigslist stating I was looking for writers, and after conversing with several people, I ended up with three possible candidates. Of those three, and more in depth conversation, I have two candidates left who I think may work out well possibly. One is the owner and facilitator of http://www.gametechworld.com and the other is yet to be named.

It’s still tentative though. No contracts have been signed, as well as I haven’t even gotten off my ass and written out the key action items extravaganza that I need done and when I would like it done by. I should have it tomorrow though, as I will have lots of time on my hands…

In other news, my work is sending me to a Photoshop conference tomorrow. Should be fun and stuff.

I just finished Part 1 and sent it off to the groupies for initial review. I’m expecting a lot of changes to happen to the text over the next couple months, but if I could get the PDF out by September/October that’d be swell. Right now it consists of about about 56 pages – it’s designed to be three parts, each a similar length.

Also I noticed that my Steampunk logo and layout did surprisingly well over this holiday season, with over 200 downloads in it’s first week – my most impressive release by far. Of course, I still haven’t gotten one review posted…Oh well, it definitely makes me consider putting more layouts out there for people to use. I think I may scratch my Alice stories and just give out the InDesign layout.

With the changes for the GSL still coming and the retiring of the D20 Logo (still not finalized) I’ve decided to create my own OGL Logo. I know LPJ created one that is pretty popular, but I wanted one that was more Steampunk orientated and so I came up with this.

*UPDATED* I have placed the Logos and a Steampunk Sample Layout up at YGN and RPGNow – seems like the overall consensus from the forums was that it looked nice, but the 3.5 Steampunk text may be hard to read. The Gif’s online definitely do not show as well as the actual vector file.
